I was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and moved to New York with my family when I was 16. I graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Chemistry from the City University of New York, where I had the honor of receiving the MARC scholarship, which supports minorities in the sciences. This opportunity allowed me to conduct significant research in a biochemistry lab, resulting in multiple publications.
After completing my undergraduate studies, I participated in the Initiative for Maximizing Student Development program at the Mayo Clinic, which solidified my decision to pursue a career in medicine. I then completed my post-baccalaureate studies at Ohio State University and earned my medical degree from Meharry Medical College in 2019, all while taking on various leadership roles.Following medical school, I trained in psychiatry at Meharry Medical College, where I served as House Staff Association Secretary and President. My commitment to minority women's mental health led me to complete the Minority Fellowship Program through SAMHSA. During this fellowship, I developed therapeutic spaces and created a reproductive psychiatry elective.
My dedication to patient care has earned me recognition in the Gold Humanism Honor Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
